Before and After: The Kitchen!

Guys, I am honestly in shock right now! 
I haven't looked at the before pictures of our house for months 
and I forgot how bad it was!! 

I'll get more into that, but for now here you have it! 

And now for your viewing pleasure, here they are side by side. 

I can't believe how far we have come!! 

Sometimes I get a little depressed thinking that we have lived 

here for so long now and there is still so much to do.

But seeing these before pictures makes me realize that we are doing awesome! 

The process may be slower then I would have hoped, but we are definitely making progress.

looking back, it blows my mind that we took a look at this nasty kitchen and said,

yea we can make this work! 

HA! 

We were so brave!

I think a lot of people didn't think we could handle it.

And now looking back I can see why! 

I think our naiveness actually helped us out because now that I know what it's

like.. I'm not sure I'd do it again haha 

The kitchen was seriously so gross.  

I literally had to scrape the gunk off the cupboards with a screwdriver.

I spent forever in there getting it cleaned up,

and honestly loving it.

Maybe I'm weird, but just knowing that this 

house was ours to make awesome made me excited to 

spend hours cleaning some of the nastiest stuff I'd seen. 

Oh and there was like three layers of linoleum that we had to get out of there. 

There is no way we could have done this without the help of family and friends. 

Everyone has been so awesome! 

From babysitting to jumping right in and getting their hands dirty..

I am so so grateful for awesome people :) 

I still can't believe that we took on this project. 

I'm proud of us haha
