Livin the life

So last week was crazy.  It was only Matt's second week of school, but it was super intense! He pretty much never went to bed before midnight and was up till 3 one night..
I mean I can see that kind of craziness later on in the semester, but the second week?? What is this?
The three day weekend saved our lives.  I am really
hoping that things go better now that he is more in the swing of things and a little more used to his classes.. I guess we will see.

And in the mean time here are a few random pictures and stories :)

Micah got had his four month appointment last week.
The doctor said that he looked very healthy which is always great to hear when your a worrier of a mom like I am..
He is in the 80% of height and 40% of weight..
Tall and skinny like his dad :)
So the appointment was all fine and good until the nurses with the shots came in.. I swear he knew what was going on this time.  He smiled at the nurses a little, but then they had me hold his knees straight (something I should not have signed up for, it was so sad) and he immediately started to cry like he knew what they were going to do to him.  And then the shots came and the crying got worse and I couldn't wait to just hold my little baby!
When they were done it didn't take to long to calm him down. I nursed him and put him in his car seat and he fell asleep and I thought the worst was over.. But that night he got really sick.  He was burning up and crying this really sad hurty cry I hadn't hear before..
It was really hard to see him suffer and that night was a rough one.
Oh that was also the night Matt had to stay up till 3.  For some reason I cannot sleep without Matt.  I have to be beyond tired to be able to fall asleep without him and then I will keep waking up.  So between not being able to sleep because of that and Micah not feeling good I didn't sleep much that night.
The next morning I got up with Micah and came downstairs so that Matt could sleep longer.  I started watching a movie and Micah just sat with me.
I loved it.
He is so big and wiggly these days that I hardly ever get to just sit and hold him, so I enjoyed it :)
Then that morning he was still having a hard time so I laid down with him and he fell asleep holding my finger.
So precious! I just love little moments like that.
After that day he got a lot better and soon enough he was back to his happy healthy self.

So on to happier things..
Micah has figured out how to hold his own bottle!
He doesn't do it all the time, but quite often he will hold it for a while. I just think its so cute. And when he held his bottle and alphie at the same time I just about couldn't handle it!
So cute

Every once and a while Micah just falls asleep wherever he is.  Even right in the middle of us making breakfast and listening to music on a Saturday morning :)

I can't believe how big he is getting! Seems like just yesterday that I would have to hold his head the whole time I gave him a bath.

So auntie Sarah got Micah this super cute jacket. I think its like 12 or 18 months, but its just so cute that I really want it to fit right now! haha

So the other day I laid Micah on my lap and he scooted into this position and just stayed there as happy as could be haha silly boy.

As long as I can remember my mom spoiled us with homemade strawberry jam.  I'm telling you when you grew up with that goodness you can't go to store bought jam..
So Saturday was a strawberry jam making day.
It turned out really good!

Funny story..
Matt got me this awesome pan carrying case for my birthday. (I helped him pick it so I got it early)  I love it, but he accidentally got two..
So we figured we would try to sell the extra one. And we also figured we should put Micah in that huge box. And it turned out to be the cutest picture!

I just love hangin out with my Micah :)

Over the weekend we got our pictures hung up! And we finally finished unpacking all of the boxes.  I just love our little home.  I'm going to take pictures and post them.. Eventually.. :)
