3 Months

So Micah just turned 4 months, but I never got around to blogging about when he turned 3 months old.. Better late then never right?
So here is my sweet little guy at 3 months

Yes his hands are always in his mouth.. It was hard to get him to take them out long enough for a picture.

Here are a few things about Micah at 3 months..
He is a really god smiler! But its hard to get a picture because every time I hold up my phone or a camera he becomes so interested that he stops smiling haha
He also laughed for the first time! The very first time he laughed is when I was taking his Christmas pictures. I decided to put these beads on him..

And when I started to put them on he laughed! It was so awesome. I really wanted to get a video to show Matt so I ran and grabbed my phone and tried putting beads on him again, but it scared him and he started to cry haha but then that weekend Matt got him to laugh three more times by coughing and hiccuping haha..  It was the best I just love his little laugh!

Another thing about Micah is that he scares super easy.  Loud (or even not very loud) noises always make him jump and sometimes cry if it scares him bad enough.. Poor little guy. I'm sure I'm not helping because I'm not a very loud person and its just him and me most days so he gets used to things being very quiet.  Then when we take him anywhere with lots of people and noise he can't handle it! But going to the farm for Christmas helped him out a lot.  For two weeks he was surrounded by lots of noisy cousins and he got a lot more used to it.

It was during his 3rd month that Micah started finally taking naps! Ever since he was born Micah has been good at sleeping at night which was wonderful, but he never was a great nap taker.  He would pretty much only sleep if he was being held.  But at three months he finally started to take naps! They are just short little 30 minute naps, but at least it was something.
I started giving him this little blanket thing (we named it rocky) and he would grab on to it and rub it on his face till he fell asleep!
The first couple of times it happened I was so shocked! I couldn't believe he was actually putting himself to sleep and staying asleep.
He always ended up like this haha I just about couldn't handle how cute it was to see him snuggling his little rocky.

A few weeks before Micah turned 4 months he really started to get his hands figured out. He started grabbing toys and everything else.  He usually has a fistful of my hair, he always grabs his shirt when I'm trying to take it off, and when he lays on his tummy he always grabs the blanket he is on.
Oh and he learned how to pull on his socks and play with his feet.

Micah is so much fun. I just love being his mom!!
