I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, and to start things off I wanna write about going to get our Christmas tree!! We decided to make a weekend out of it because we would be
getting our tag in Evanston WY (because its way easier then trying to get one in heber) and because it was our anniversary. So we ended up getting a room with a jacuzzi, which was way fun!
Micah thought it was pretty cool.
The first thing we did when we got into town was get our tree tag. We also went out
to dinner and went swimming in the pool. It was way fun!
The next day we headed to the mountains!
The snow was pretty deep and Micah was having a hard time walking in it
so he was happy to be put in his pack.
He enjoyed looking at it all from up high.
Tromping around in the snow was fun, but hard for both Matt and I since he had
Micah on his back and I don't have a lot of balance being prego haha
But even though we were stumbling around it was so magical!
A winter wonderland for sure.
My family has always gone to the mountains to get a Christmas tree growing up, but there was rarely ever snow, so I was loving it!
So the tree we ended up choosing was on the edge of a steep hill, but we really wanted a picture of
all of us with it. So we set the camera on a tripod and Matt had ten seconds to get up this crazy slipper hill hahah
Attempt #1
Attempt #2
Then he thought maybe if I go a different route..
#3
But eventually we got it!!
And as a bonus Matt got a sweet workout haha
And yes that is our tree to the left of us.. maybe it was like 15 feet tall... hehe
But we cut off the extra and we have used a ton of it to decorate around the house.
And then the boys slid down the hill, because what else would they do?
Micah wasn't super impressed haha
It took poor Matchu forever to cut the tree down because he kept sliding down the hill haha
Next year we will know to get one on flat ground.
We (and by we I mean Matt) strapped it to the car and we were off!
Such a fun day!!
I'm excited to keep up the tradition of going to the mountains for our Christmas tree :)
So awesome! I didn't realize you went all the way to Wyoming! Such fun!
