Christmas Decorating

Now that Christmas is over I'm trying to find time to go through the thousands of pictures I took and get some of them up here! 

We had a ton of fun decorating our house this year. 

Last year we moved in about a week before Christmas. 

The kitchen was still being painted so we had no drawers or doors on the cupboards. There were boxes everywhere and nothing was very organized.  We still managed to put up our tree and find

a few Christmas things, but this year we had a lot more time

to prepare and actually decorate and I loved it!

The Crazy chaos that decorating was for a few days haha 

Micah didn't seem to mind the mess, but I sure was happy when we got it all back to normal ha

We went and bought a start this year and I'm so excited to get to have it on all of our trees 

for years to come! 

Micah was really excited to help.  He tried and tried to figure out how to put the bulbs on

the tree, but it was a little advanced for his little fingers haha

He did manage to make this cool string of bulbs which he was very proud of haha

Eventually he would just bring them to me and then show me exactly where he wanted to 

put them. 

Such a fun and exciting mess :) 

You know we got a tall tree when Matt had to stand on a chair to reach the top haha

I can't resist a tall tree since I've never had a tall ceiling till now.  

Maybe we will calm down a little next year haha

So since this is probably the most decorated my house will ever be I feel the need

to document it haha 

I made these stockings and I'm so excited with how they turned out!!

Making stockings was way harder then I thought it was gonna be and it took me 

a few trial runs before I got it figured out. 

but it was so much fun to have real stockings instead of the dollar store ones we have been using for years now. 

We got these little stumps off of our Christmas tree to use as a way to hold up the stockings 

and I LOVE how it turned out!

I had a lot of fun decorating the tops of my cabinets. 

I would totally leave it up all winter, but the branches are real 

and they are dying haha we get showered with pine needles when we open 

and shut cupboard doors. 

Turns out table cloths are super annoying, but they sure are pretty! 

Here is the advent calendar that I made 

I also made these trees and the burlap garland to go on my little entry way table. 

I have been making and prepping things for months before December came haha

I swear pregnancy made me a Christmas maniac! (Even more so then I already was)

All I wanted to do was make Christmas things, so I did! 

But I'm pretty excited cause now I have it all done for future Christmas's. 

We found these three little pine trees at a garage sale for super cheap and I just love them. 

Here are a few of the things we put on our shelves :) 

I just love how festive our house has felt. 

Unfortunately I'm gonna have to take down everything that includes

pine needles.. which is just about everything.

Including my tree :( 

I just want to leave it all up for ever!! haha
