Oh LIfe..

Life gets a little crazy sometimes.
A little too crazy for my liking haha
But when things calm down I am able to reflect on it
and realize how blessed I am!

So on Saturday we spent most of the day outside cleaning up our back patio area

It was crazy and exhausting, but we got a ton done and it is so awesome out there now!

Maybe someday I'll take pictures of it all cleaned up.

So when we finally came in that evening I was walking around in the
kitchen and my feet kept getting wet.
I would wipe up the water on the floor, but it wouldn't go away!
It was so weird!

Then I got down and looked a little closer and noticed that the
water was coming up through the cracks of the flooring.
Matt came in and we found out that a hose under
the sink had been leaking and we had no idea because the water was going UNDER
the floor!! Not a happy discovery.

We put a bowl under the leak and put a fan in the kitchen that night
(we were so tired that was about all we could muster)
The next day it wasn't much better and we knew that we were going to have
to tear up the floor so it could all dry out.

I'm really glad we chose the floor we did because it wasn't to hard to
take it apart and lay it out to dry and let the subfloor dry.

So we thought for sure it would dry out that night and we could put it back in the next day.
But it was still wet so I went without a stove or half of a kitchen floor for about
2 and a half days.. Stuff like that makes you really appreciate
what you may take for granted!
Luckily we have a grill and a microwave and a grittle thing.
Meals were interesting, but we survived.

So this morning before Matt went to work we put the floor back in and hooked the
stove back up.  Yay!!! I can actually cook today!

But like I said, looking back on this experience has made me super grateful for a few things..

A husband that figured out the problem and fixed it himself
A kitchen floor to walk on
a stove to cook with!
The fact that my dishwasher still worked throughout all that
and an awesome baby to keep me distracted :)

I'm so glad that for the most part stuff like this doesn't happen very often and that I get to have a functioning kitchen and a warm house and all those things that I take for granted.

But we did have some fun in the midst of the craziness this week.

On Sunday after we got the floor all out and it was drying we just wanted
out of the house.
So we made some pb&j's and went for a drive

And we found the cutest little pond and park that was right by a golf course.

It was SO pretty and Micah loved the ducks.
Unfortunately it was also cold so we didn't stay long

But once it warms up we are going back for sure.

On Monday we had a little lunch date with daddy
We hardly ever go out to eat, but we figured since the kitchen was out
of order we would go for it.
(this is also when we thought it would be fixed that night haha)

Micah LOVES feeding daddy

Then yesterday I got to go to the Museum of Natural curiosity (I think that's the name haha)
with some friends and it was SO fun!

That place it awesome!

So fun

I have an awesome life and I'm so grateful for it!
I'm even grateful for trials that make me think..
Especially when they are over haha
