Oh hey Monday!
Today has already been super productive!
Maybe writing everything down is working :)
In fact I know that it is.
I make better choices when I know I'm going to report on them.
SO with that being said here is how I did last week.
Goal: Workout every week day
I did it!! I worked out every week day!
That hasn't happened in a long time.
I've discovered that I have to get up and go straight to working out.
If I get on Instagram or eat breakfast or start with the chores for the day it just
becomes easier and easier to make excuses as to why I can't workout.
I tried really hard to get up and immediately start working out.
It gets a little tricky cause Matt finishes getting ready before
I'm done so I pause and say goodbye and
there are lots of other pauses to get Micah breakfast and
whatever else he needs.
But hey I get my workout in, so it is definitely a win!
I have tried to follow up my workout with a green smoothie.
Let me tell you, I don't think there is a better way
to start your day then with a workout and a green smoothie.
I feel so good!
I noticed that when I workout it really gets me pumped for the day.
When I don't workout I just kind of bum around and
I don't feel like doing anything but eat and sit on the couch.
When I do workout I have so much more energy!
Weird right? haha but it's true!
Well more energy in the morning that is..
I get tons of stuff done but about the time Micah goes
down for a nap after lunch I start to wind down and it all hits me and
I get pretty tired.
Maybe someday I'll have energy all day :)
So there is my very long report on how working out went last week haha
I still had tough days.
Thursday was rough.
My workout was very short.
But I tried!!
Goal: Make a meal every night
I did good till Thursday (that day was my downfall haha)
And then on Friday we ended up eating the worst meal ever at
the Ikea super cheap food section.
Never get hot dogs there!
The pizza was kinda alright but not really haha
Also super unhealthy.
Goal: Finish Micah's quilt
Fail.
I did not do that
I did however recover a little chair for him
Goal: Make healthy snacks
Another fail.. oops haha
Goal: Cut Way back on sugar
I did better on not eating so much sugar.
I ate a lot of fruit and yogurt instead.
which is just as good or better in my book.
So there is last weeks wrap up.
I was feeling very unmotivated this morning so
I got on the scale and it told
me I lost two pounds!!
That got me motivated :)
Goals for this week.
These are going to look very familiar..
#1 workout every day.
#2 Make a meal plan that includes little to no shopping.
#3 Eat healthier
I have done lots better with working out
but my eating still need some work.
#4 Have family home Evening.
Let's see how that goes.
And because no pose is complete without pictures.
I made these baked Chimichangas for dinner one night.
They were SO good,
And very super duper easy.
First you throw some chicken in the crock pot with some
cumin
garlic salt
and chili powder
Let that cook on low for 4-6 hours
These avocados quickly become guacamole
with a little bit of salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
Take your tortilla
spread on some refried beans
follow with guacamole
Then comes that shredded chicken
finish it up with some cheese
Roll it up, spray or spread some olive oil on them
Bake at 425 for 15 - 20 minutes
Top with some salsa and sour cream or whatever your heart desires.
Ok now I really want some.
I used to spinach wrap things
and that was the only thing I didn't like
I will definitely use whole wheat tortillas next time instead.
