A whole week with my parents!

Just like always I have about a million things to blog about, but I just never have time!

My parents just came and stayed with us for a whole week and we had so much

fun that I decided I would forgo all the other things for now and write about the fun time we had. 

They got here on a Wednesday afternoon. We had dinner and visited till pretty late that night.  We usually only get to see them for a couple days at a time so I felt the need to catch up haha 

The next day we went on a bike ride! 

We ended up at this pretty pond.  The weather was perfect and it was so pretty!

Then we found a place to buy some stuff for mom, had lunch, and then we were headed home, but instead we headed up the canyon last minute.  The boys were asleep and the mountains were INCREDIBLE!  It was so fun.

That night mom and dad watched the boys so me and Matt could have a date! 

Pizza and the Temple with this handsome guy was the best. 

The next day Logan showed up at like six in the morning haha mom and dad went to the Temple that morning.  Matt was able to get off work early that day so when everybody was together again we headed to the mountains! We were headed to cascade springs but stopped and did a little hike along the way to enjoy the fall colors.

It was so fun to have mom and dad AND Log with us!!

I really wanted a picture of them together, but this is about as good as I could get. Micah was not gonna stop running around haha

After Cascade we finished the alpine loop and then headed straight to tepenyaki's (probably didn't spell that right)

We just love this place cause they cook right in front of you and its so fun!

Poor Mason, right off the bat the cook lit this huge fire and it scared the little guy.  

He was pretty hesitant about the whole thing after that. 

The next day was Saturday which meant conference! 

But since Conference didn't start till ten me, Matt, Log, Jess, and dad all went on a bike ride. 

They just recently put in a bunch of trails pretty close to our house and this 

was my first time to try them! It was SO fun!!

After our ride we got to start conference! 

It doesn't get much better then listening to two days of wonderful 

inspired messages with some of my favorite people! 

I loved it so much. 

A couple things about this picture^ I forgot to mention that Loren and Jess came and stayed the weekend with us too! so fun.  Also see how Micah is all snuggled up with grampa? Micah rarely left grampa's side for the entire week.  He loves is gramps SO SO much!! basically doesn't have anything to do with anyone else.  Except Ethan. He also loves Ethan. 

That night we left the kids with the guys and had a ladies night! 

We did some shopping and went out to dinner.  

I had to take a picture of my food cause I never branch out 

at zupa's but I tried a protien bowl and it was really good! 

The next day was Sunday.  I didn't get many pictures, but we listened to conference, played at a park, and went and had dinner with Jess's family. It was a good day! 

On Monday mom and dad went and had lunch with some of their friends and I stayed home 

to catch up on some much needed laundry and some down time for the boys 

(so much partying can wear you out!)

Micah took a huge nap and Mason took several and I got a bunch done. 

I was supposed to meet them at di but the boys slept for so long that eventually 

dad just came home to watch them and I went and shopped with mom. 

That night we went to the university mall to check out these fountains! 

They were super cool.  The dance to music, but it only happened once while we

were there and we were pretty far away.  So I am dying to go back! 

The mall also had this cool Play ground that Micah loved. 

We ended the night with cinnabon and to say Micah enjoyed it would be an understatement.

On Tuesday we had plans to go to Temple square, but that got moved to Wednesday

so instead we worked on my house! My parents are super hard workers and they did a ton 

on a project we have going on.  I was so excited to see stuff getting done! 

And as always Micah stayed right by grampa

In the middle of that day I took Micah to a quick dentist appointment.  I scheduled it while my parents were here cause I figured I would have to hold Micah down the whole time and it would be hard with a Mason.  But Micah did so good!!! 

I was honestly shocked haha 

Wednesday was the day they left, but we did some fun things on their way out. 

We all packed up and drove to Salt Lake.  On the way there was a big crash.  I guess a truck full of amonium nitrate tipped over so the freeway was totally stopped.  Luckily Matt heard about it and warned us to get off the freeway.  We literally got off just in time.  So getting there took longer then we thought it would and it was pretty exciting but we made it! 

We went to the new church history museum! It was so cool. 

This was in a video of the restoration. But the screen wrapped basically all the way around you so it felt like you were there, it was really amazing. 

Micah pushed around his stroller the whole time and then he would use it to get up to stuff hahah

There was this awesome kids room that we hung out in for a while. 

Then we met up with Matt and ate at this little German restaurant that Matt has been 

wanting to take my parents to for a while. 

After we ate we walked back and said our goodbyes.  

I'm so glad that they were able to stay for so long!!

Both boys slept the whole way home and I think we are still recovering from all the fun haha
