The Farm

Where I grew up is awesome
And Unique..
Mostly because it is super super remote

Matt and I love to tell people about the farm
we tell them how everyone is related and how it is an
hour to the nearest town.
And if you want a Walmart that'll be another hour

Sometimes people ask to see pictures of the
farm and I always realize that I don't really have any.

So the last time I was out there I tried to get some pictures.
I didn't get a ton, but I wanted to share what I got :)

The highway out there is pretty lonely..
So lonely that I had no problem standing in the middle of
the road to take a picture haha

And in black and white cause I can

And after that lonely highway, you get a whole bunch of dirt roads.
if you happen to pass someone they are sure to wave at you
because most everyone knows each other
and they are just awesome and friendly.

One of the coolest parts of the farm is the church..
Cause after driving for 20 miles on dirt roads in the middle
of the Nevada dessert, the last thing you expect to
see is a LDS church building.

But there it is in all it's glory!
And trust me it is well used and loved.

I remember having church in my grandma's house for a lot of years
so having a building is amazing.

Of course I have to include a picture of a pivot
cause I love them

I also love the difference between the green fields and the dessert all around

The blue sky and puffy white clouds are my favorite

There's also a bunch of windmills

Growing up we always used to call where I lived the village
There were 6 trailers there at one point and where most
everyone lived.
Now my parents are the only ones living there full time!
Other people come and go, but it's not much of
a village anymore..
So weird

One morning I hiked a little ways up a hill so I could get pictures of the sunrise

It's also a good spot to get a picture of most of the valley

So there you have it!
A few pictures of where I grew up.
Although it has changed a little..

It's weird to see it change and not be apart of the change
All of my little (well not so little anymore) cousins are now doing a lot of the same
things I used to do growing up.
It's fun to watch them and remember

I love the farm, but mostly because of all of the wonderful people out there!
It's one of my very favorite place :)
