A Memorial weekend apart

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on..

So this Memorial weekend was a lot different then the usual.
Matt had a great opportunity to go on a business trip
to Mexico.  I'm not sure why it had to fall on
a holiday weekend, but it did..

I was not excited to go 5 whole days without him
(the longest we've ever been apart is one night haha)
But I was also super excited for him to
get to go and it gave me a great reason to go and visit my family

So we parted ways..

I may have cried most of the way home from the airport haha
I'm kind of attached to this man of mine!
I feel so lucky to be his wife :)

Luckily my parents and brother had come to our house the night
before, so I had immediate distraction as soon as I got home.

That day was Friday and my mom said hey lets plant a garden!
And I said OK!!!
haha I've been wanting a garden so bad, but I have never
got around to it..

And just like that in one day these awesome people transformed my yard!
My dad mowed and tilled while me and mom
went and bought a bunch of seeds
(and a peach tree!!!)

And my brother went to town with our weed wacker
(after he went and bought us a bunch of gardening stuff)
And he made the yard look so much better!
I have the greatest family :)

So we got my garden planted and my yard all fixed up
and then the next morning we went to the
Payson Temple open house.

I guess we happened to go on the last day
and it was super crazy, but totally worth it!

Micah went through the whole temple on grandpa's shoulders
before we got in he was super wiggly and fussy and just wanted to run
around, but the moment we entered the temple he was so good!
He never cried or made an attempt to get down.
It's amazing how the spirit in the Temple effects even the little guys :)

After the temple we loaded up my car and took off haha
mom and dad had just helped a neighbor move some
of their equipment so they happened to have a big trailer with nothing
on it.. So we put my car on it and so I didn't have to drive!
It was great haha

We had so much fun on the farm!
Got to hang out with cousins..

ride around with no carseat..

Spent as much time outside as possible..

And thew a countless amount of rocks into puddles.

That is ALL Micah wanted to do!

Micah seemed so big on this trip..
He would sit up to the table by himself and ride
around in the cars on his own chair
and just take off and explore.
He's not a baby anymore!

Even though he loved sitting on the bench,
he loved sitting on grandpa's lap even more.

Driving home it was just me and Micah.
Micah was acting kinda funny that day
and then a couple hours into our drive we stopped
to give him a break and realized he was burning up with a fever!
Poor baby! I got some medicine for him, but I couldn't
really stop cause I had to get to the airport on
time to pick up Matt.

Also the weather was crazy..
Definitely not my favorite drive!!
Boy was I happy to see Matt!

I never wanted to stop hugging him haha
Absence really does make the heart grow fonder :)
