Our first real live Christmas Tree

This year we spent Thanksgiving on the farm.
We had tons of fun eating food and hanging out with family!

The day after Thanksgiving we headed to the mountains to find a Christmas tree.
This was one of my favorite traditions growing up.
Every year on the day after Thanksgiving everyone on the farm would
head up to the mountains to cut down Christmas trees and have lunch up there.

Being Nevada you never know what you'll get weather wise..
Some years there would be snow and other years it would be warm and sunny.
This year fell into the warm and sunny category
Seriously we didn't really even need jackets and ended up taking them off later.

Ever since we got married we have had a fake tree because we were moving around a lot
and busy with school and what not.
So this year we decided to get a tree and take it back home with us!

So here are some pictures of our adventure :)

After some hiking around we found it!
The perfect tree!

So we went to the road and waited for the truck to come so we could cut it down

Pretty sure Micah would have just walked down that road forever

Before cutting trees down we had some lunch.

Then the big moment!
Micah was pretty intrigued

And Ethan helped us cut down our tree!

We had a ton of fun.
Now I just wish we had a house to set up our tree in!
The house isn't ready yet and we don't want to put it in our apartment and then have to take it back down (plus I don't think it would fit)
So for now its in our garage (sigh)
But the good news is our garage smells very Christmasy.

Here's too hoping we can get the house finished before Christmas so we can set up and decorate this beautiful tree!

Merry Christmas!!
