Matt had the chance to go to Rexburg on a recruiting trip
for work. He has gone on one before and I
knew going would be fun for me and Micah plus
I HATE being home alone..
It was gonna be crazy cause all my family was here for conference and we left the Tuesday after that weekend. So some of them left Monday and some left Tuesday and then we took off too!
After we decided to go we found out that they were also going
to provide a motel room for us!
So it was like a little vacation and it turned out to be
a lot of fun.
The first thing Micah did when we got to the room was figure out the phone..
The first morning (well every morning really) was nice and lazy.
We made a couple trips to the breakfast bar, watched tv,
drove trucks, and had a bubble bath.
It was awesome
speaking of breakfast.. Every morning I had biscuits and gravy..
You'd think I would have had enough, but no!
Ever since we got home I just CRAVE them!
haha oh dear.. anyways...
It was a super laid back trip (well, for me and Micah that is, Matt was pretty busy)
We spent time with Micah's Nana which was really great.
We went to several parks, did lots of swimming, and just kinda hung out.
We even got to have a swimming/ pizza party with Dolly and her kids and that was way fun.
One day we went to the sand dunes and Micah never wanted to leave!
Talk about all the sand he could ever want to play with haha
One of the things I was most excited for about going to Rexburg was Mill Hollow.
All this time and it is the still the BEST sandwich I have ever had!!
One night at Matt's mom's house Matt found a bunch of old hats and Micah
would try them on (always putting them on backwards) and say "that's nice!!"
I wore my new favorite shirt ;)
Thanks to work I had to pack up and check out by myself.
Getting that cart through the halls and chasing Micah at the same time
was intense!! haha but we survived.
Right before we left we had to get some tacos at the taco bus..
Matt had eaten there every day with his co workers and I ate there once
but we had to have more, it's just that good!
We headed home on Friday afternoon so even though it felt like a vacation,
we still had the weekend to look forward to!
Win win!
