Some Saturday's just need to be remembered

We got back from Matt's work trip to Rexburg on Friday night and then on Saturday the party just kept on going!

First my uncle called and said he was in town and that he was gonna stop by.
So we got to visit with him right up until we rushed out of the house to go to a birthday party.

The party was so fun. Micah got to try painting for the first time and he loved it! He also got paint all over his cloths haha

We left the party a little early because we also had a reception to go to. We drove to the reception and had a little bit of a hard time
finding it because it was at a campground in the mountains!

It was such a cool location!
They had a yummy lunch dessert and Micah was loving walking
around outside.

yep, this is what happens when you try and get a picture with Micah these days.

After leaving the reception I decided that it was time to go to a pumpkin patch.
And I had just seen this cool one that happened to be on our way home.

So we went and it was so great.

First off Micah loves "pumpchins"
Every time we go to the grocery store he is so excited to see them.

So we went in and said Micah you get to choose a pumpkin!
So he went over to this pile of smaller pumpkins and dug around till he found his favorite one.

Once he found this little guy he just held onto it!
I thought for sure that he would go back and forth between pumpkins, but he stuck to this one pretty good.
He did like to throw it like a ball though haha

This place also had bounce houses which is something Micah has never really liked before, but he was loving this one!

Then Matt took him up the big one and it was a bit of a disaster haha

Poor baby haha

After the pumpkin patch we stopped by the outlets to do some shopping.
Turns out if you get Micah some pretzel bites and a big cup of
water, shopping is much more pleasant haha

It was definitely a full and fun day! When we finally got home it was dinner and bedtime
for Micah and I followed soon after ha.  This pregnant mama can't handle a full day like that without crashing early.

A work trip to BYU-I

Matt had the chance to go to Rexburg on a recruiting trip
for work.  He has gone on one before and I
knew going would be fun for me and Micah plus
I HATE being home alone..
It was gonna be crazy cause all my family was here for conference and we left the Tuesday after that weekend.  So some of them left Monday and some left Tuesday and then we took off too!

After we decided to go we found out that they were also going
to provide a motel room for us!
So it was like a little vacation and it turned out to be
a lot of fun.

The first thing Micah did when we got to the room was figure out the phone..

The first morning (well every morning really) was nice and lazy.
We made a couple trips to the breakfast bar, watched tv,
drove trucks, and had a bubble bath.
It was awesome
speaking of breakfast.. Every morning I had biscuits and gravy..
You'd think I would have had enough, but no!
Ever since we got home I just CRAVE them!
haha oh dear.. anyways...

It was a super laid back trip (well, for me and Micah that is, Matt was pretty busy)
We spent time with Micah's Nana which was really great.
We went to several parks, did lots of swimming, and just kinda hung out.

We even got to have a swimming/ pizza party with Dolly and her kids and that was way fun.

One day we went to the sand dunes and Micah never wanted to leave!
Talk about all the sand he could ever want to play with haha

One of the things I was most excited for about going to Rexburg was Mill Hollow.
All this time and it is the still the BEST sandwich I have ever had!!

One night at Matt's mom's house Matt found a bunch of old hats and Micah
would try them on (always putting them on backwards) and say "that's nice!!"

I wore my new favorite shirt ;)

Thanks to work I had to pack up and check out by myself.
Getting that cart through the halls and chasing Micah at the same time
was intense!! haha but we survived.

Right before we left we had to get some tacos at the taco bus..
Matt had eaten there every day with his co workers and I ate there once
but we had to have more, it's just that good!

We headed home on Friday afternoon so even though it felt like a vacation,
we still had the weekend to look forward to!
Win win!

Conference Weekend With the Fam

General Conference weekend was the best!
My parents and all of my siblings, but Logan were
able to come to Utah for Conference!

We had 10 extra people staying in our house and
we loved it!!
Get ready for a TON of pictures haha

So everybody got here on Thursday and then on Friday we
all went to the zoo! The zoo still had the dinosaurs up
and the kids thought that was pretty cool.

It was a nice day, but at one point it was a total down pour!!
SOO much rain, luckily we were inside the reptile
building at the time, so we just hung out till it calmed down.

Lots of fun! That night mom and dad watched the kids so some of us siblings
could go to the temple.  Unfortunately we didn't get all in together,
but it was still such a great experience and we all went
out for frozen yogurt afterwards.  It was fun to have a little kid free time together :)

The next day was conference.
We got some treats for the kids and put pictures of
the first presidency and some gospel topics in
the treats.  That way whenever they heard those words or saw
those people they got the treat.
It helped them pay attention for the first little bit of the
first session haha

Listening to conference was amazing as usual.
I was so glad that we had a basement and a little outdoor
area that the kids could play in while we watched conference.
It was funny though because as all the other kids ran
around and played Micah stayed on the couch
by grandpa almost the whole time!
He definitely wasn't sitting still.  But he just wanted to
be on the couch by his bamba!

helping bamba make breakfast Saturday morning.

After the Saturday afternoon session Matt and Luke decided
to take all of the kids for a little hike.
They left from the house and headed to the mountains
with six kids haha

I decided to go up and meet them at the parking lot of the hike
So I went up and met them and started the hike.
After a little while of hiking we realized that we were
running out of time and then it also started to rain.

We didn't want to turn around, but decided we better.
Pretty much as soon as we turned around it started pouring!
The poor kids were not too happy about it haha
So we ran back to the car that I had brought up, but not
before we all got soaked.

We were all trying to dry off kids so fast when we got home
that I only got a picture of Micah..

That night my sister made these delicious cupcakes!

Sunday was filled with more Conference and yummy
cinnamon rolls

After the last session we took all of the kids for a walk

And when we got back we all sat down and had a turkey
dinner and talked about our favorite talks from conference

That night my dad gave us a family home evening lesson
and it was amazing.

Having family around is always the best.
And when you mix family and conference it's even better!
Thanks for coming everyone!
