My poor Micah

This has been the hardest week of poor little Micah's life
It all started last Monday with a surgery.
It was a pretty simple surgery, nothing major, but still it just about tore me apart.
He had to fast the morning of the surgery, but he did surprisingly well with that!
This is the best picture I got on my phone haha
He was having a great time at the hospital.
We went to Primary Children's and they were so awesome!
They had lots of toys and things to keep him distracted and it worked great.

The surgery took about an hour.
(in case you are super curious it was a hypospadius repair, your welcome to look it up lol)
When we finally got to see him again he was still sleeping.
When he woke up he was hungry and super sad.
The worst part was how bad his throat sounded, I guess they used a breathing tube
and it made his throat really sore

He cried for a while, but then finally fell back asleep
I was so happy to just hold him.
we have known that he would have to get this surgery since he was about 2 weeks old
And I have been dreading the day he would have to have for all this time.
Finally having it over with is SUCH a relief!!
I am the best at worrying :)

We got to bring him home that same day.
My mom came up to help me out and I am SO SO grateful she did!
I couldn't have done it without her.

Monday was pretty rough
Matt and I barely slept the night before.
We crashed while mom held Micah and gave him his medicine.

Tuesday was a lot better
He was happier and acting like he wasn't hurting as bad
We though wow this isn't going to be so bad!
wrong

On Wednesday he woke up with a fever
we called the nurse and they said it wasn't bad enough to worry too much about
Then it got worse, poor baby
We took him to the doctor and they said he wasn't infected or anything, it was probably a virus
Sure enough he was sick on top of recovering from surgery!

The poor little guy was soo sick
All we could do was just hold him and give him his medicine

He was sick like that for a few days
He started to recover, but he was hardly eating anything
So yesterday I ended up taking him to the doctor again
And now he has an ear infection!
The poor guy it never ends!!
Oh and on top of it all he has been teething pretty bad.

So as you can imagine life has been pretty rough around here..
We are hoping that now that he has antibiotics that he will be able to get better.

I am so grateful for prayer, fasting, and priesthood blessings!
They have got me through it all.
There have been several nights when Micah would make up screaming and there was nothing I could do for him, then Matt would give him a blessing and he would calm right down.

I love my baby! It has been so hard to see him suffer
but little by little he is getting back to his normal self
