25 Years..

That's how long I've been around!! 

At least I'm pretty sure.. Keeping track of my age is tough these 

days! Luckily Matt is good at doing it for me haha

So its been a week, but I wanted to write down how we celebrated my 

birthday last weekend, because man did I ever get spoiled! 

So it all started on Saturday.  We decided to do most of my birthday

on Saturday because my real birthday was Monday and Matt had to work. 

So Saturday morning Matt got up before me and headed to

the kitchen (always a good sign) I continued to sleep which was aamazing! 

The moment Micah woke up Matt went in and got him and so 

I just kept sleeping! Once I was ready to get up I took a shower without having to 

worry about Micah (once your a mom sleeping in and taking a shower alone 

is more magical then I would have ever imagined haha)

After my shower Matt came to get me for breakfast and this is what I came out to

So a while ago I told Matt that one of my favorite breakfasts of all time was

when there were crepes and just about every fresh fruit and every of topping to put

on them.  So he got everything he could find! You certainly nailed it hun! 

Needless to say, breakfast was amazing. 

After breakfast Micah noticed there was a pile of presents and he was ready to dig in!

And so was I :) 

I knew that Matt and his sister had gone in on something together and

All of these packages had been showing up at the house for a while and I was

SOO curious!! I could barely wait to see what it was 

It was a gel nail kit!! Basically its a way of doing your nails that is the

best and it lasts for forever. I'm so stinking excited to have one. 

Matt also got me bath salts and lotion and different things

He said he wanted it to be like a day at the spa without having to go to a spa

Once again, NAILED IT! 

Micah was so funny even though all this stuff was definitely not meant for 

a two year old, he got SO excited about everything haha

After presents we had more breakfast.. Cause duh haha 

We were gonna go out and do some grocery shopping and then get lunch, 

but we were so full we kinda skipped lunch. 

And here is what he got me for my birthday cake.. I know I keep saying this but, NAILED IT!! 

Seriously. A pregos dream, look at all those delicious options! 

That after noon Matchu gave me a pedicure! (best. husband. ever.)

I can't really reach my toes too good, but I've been wanting to paint them

before having the baby. 

That afternoon was lazy and awesome.  The plan was to go to 

Tacunos for an early dinner (since we skipped lunch)

but we called to make a reservation just in case and they couldn't get us 

in for like 3 hours! So we skipped that and went and ate at this new 

burger place we have been wanting to try.  

After we ate I went to the adult session of stake conference.  

We never think about getting a babysitter for these things.. Last time 

we tried to take Micah and that was a disaster. So this time 

I just went by myself and it was Wonderful!!!!

It was amazing to just be able to sit there and listen, and everything they talked

about was just what I needed to hear and I was able to feel the spirit so 

strong.  It was one of my favorite parts of the day! 

 I came home to a clean kitchen and Matt just working away on some different 

projects.  Did I mention that he is the best?? I'm So spoiled!!

I got to take a bath with my new stuff that night and it was amazing. 

The next day we went to church and then afterwards we 

took a drive up American Fork Canyon.  

I just assumed that the road up the canyon would close for the winter,

but it doesn't! And it was SO beautiful up there!!! 

Talk about winter wonderland. 

All I wanted was to get some snow shoes or cross country skis and walk 

through the beautifulness! 

We settled for driving through it and also walking through a little by 

this cool bridge we found. 

34 weeks

Micah fell asleep pretty much as soon as we started driving and slept for till 

we parked here for a while.  When he woke up we got him out and 

he was loving it, but he was so cold!! We wanted to do a little bit of sledding, but 

he was not having it! He just wanted to be held cause he was so cold haha poor guy

We'll just pretend like he was having fun here ^^ 

in all reality he was crying the whole time saying hug hug! 

haha poor guy. 

On Monday (my actual birthday)

We met up with Matt for lunch at Tacunos 

I just love this^^ look at the way Micah is eying that! 

Yea after this picture he took it and drank most of it haha 

A friend that worked there sent me home with this cake.. It was so good! 

So there you have it! Best birthday weekend ever!!! 

Micah update

So the house is a disaster and I have about a million projects that could use worked on, but all 

these cute things that Micah does keep running through 

my mind and I thought, yikes, I need to write these down!! 

So I'll do that instead :)

Micah is a whopping 2 years and almost 5 months.

He is such a funny little guy! 

He does so many cute things that I don't wanna forget

Hopefully I can remember all the of them to write down haha

Lately whenever I come into a room, or he comes and finds me he says, "hi!! whatcha doin?" haha its so cute, but I don't 

think he really knows what he's asking cause I tell him what I'm doing and then he repeats it about five more times. ha

Also when he finds his bear he says hi!! and either "how are you doing," or "whatcha doing?" his love for bear is strong as ever. 

He wants to take bear everywhere. In the past he has been fine with leaving bear at home when we go out, but lately he is not cool with that haha Also he wants bear and blanky to always sit at the table with him while he eats.. Which makes for a mess. But I want him to eat worse then I don't want him to have bear up there.. So pick your battles right? haha

Speaking of eating, he went through an extremely picky phase over the holidays. (maybe from all the sugar around) Basically he would refuse anything, but cereal.  But he is getting back to eating better! Definitely still picky, but he is improving!! 

He is a total mamas boy.  Especially after being super sick.  ALL he wanted was me when he was sick and some of that has stuck, but its not quite as bad.  I am usually the one to get him out of his crib in the morning, but lately Matt has been doing it and Micah does not like change! So for the first little while he would just say I want mommy! That's when I realized that we need to have daddy do more things for him cause pretty soon I'm not going to be so available! This kid is gonna have a rough time with another baby taking a bunch of his mommy's time..

Me and Micah have a little lunch together every day and it cracks me up.  Its usually very silent with Micah staring at me haha He is staring because he likes to imitate what I do.  I take a bite, he takes a bite. I take a drink, he takes a drink.  And then we say mmmhhhmmmmmm haha I'm so excited for this new baby, but I know I will miss all this one on one time with my first baby. 

I have talked about his button up shirt obsession on instagram, but I have to talk about it again cause its my favorite.  About 3 weeks ago or so we put in a new closet in Micah's room and ever since then I've been letting Micah choose his shirts in the morning.
I think its so fun to see what he comes up with, and with the exception of ONCE he has chosen a button up shirt EVERY DAY

hahahah so funny! Oh and that one time was a polo shirt that had buttons.  The kid is obsessed with buttons. 

So we had to do some experimenting with this.. At first all his button up shirts were on one side and his t-shirts on the other. So Matt switched the sides, the next day it only took Micah a second to figure it out and point to the button up shirt he wanted on the other side.  After that I mixed the button up shirts and t-shirts together and he still has no trouble picking out a button up shirt.  

As his button up shirts started to run out he would just sit there and say button? I would point out other shirts to him that were either polos or didn't have buttons and he says no! So then I would show him the button up shirts that were left and that was his shirt of choice.  As it turns out we have a lot of button up shirts for him! haha they outlasted his jeans so after a while he was wearing a button up shirt with sweats haha

I don't know why, but this is just so funny to me!! I look forward to getting him dressed every day because I can't wait to see what he chooses.  Also he's wearing shirts that I don't usually put him in so thats cool too.. Also this means that Micah is all fancy everyday in his button up shirt and pants and I rarely get out of sweats. ha

Micah almost always tells me when he has pooped.  He says poop! And I say should we go change it? And he says oh change it! and then a good portion of the time he runs to his room.  Yes I realize that this might mean he could be ready for potty training.. But I am not ready.  haha the thought of trying to clean up accidents and all that is just too much being this pregnant.  Also we have tried taking his diaper off to let him sit on his little potty and he freaks out! So I don't think he is that ready..  We will be sticking with diapers for a little while yet.

The terrible two's have really shown up these last couple of weeks.  It's funny cause I little while ago I was thinking man, we are so lucky, Micah doesn't throw fits! Sure he cries and gets upset, but they aren't every full on screaming or anything like that.. And it was right after that, that the fits began.. Ha! That's what I get.. 

It was really bad for a little bit, but the more we have worked with him and not given in the better he is doing.  It could be lots worse.. For the most part he is a sweet guy.

Speaking of sweet guy.  When he starts into his fits I ask if he can be a sweet guy and calm down and tell me what he needs.  So he will try and calm down and he says sweet guy!! and then he will stop crying and say  Please! haha it's real cute when it works.  

So lately when he's being sweet he knows it.  He will hand me something, or ask sweetly, or give me a bite of his food and then say sweeeet guy! sweet guy huh? haha it's so cute. 

Life is a roller coaster with a two year old.  One minute he will be so happy and sweet, and the next minute he will be throwing a crazy fit! you never know whats gonna happen haha

He gets super touchy about things.  Little things like putting his cereal in the wrong bowl can throw him into a tizzy.  We are working on that.. haha and actually it hasn't been happening as much.  He went through a little phase of wanting to eat his cereal on the couch.. That one was rough, but he is back to eating it at the table now haha

He hasn't been doing it as much lately, but it used to be that every time I changed his diaper or cloths he would say bath? bath? bath? bath? bubbles? bath? 

I love showing him things I'm working on cause he is always so supportive.  I have been making swaddle blankets lately and I'll show them to Micah and he will say oh!! That's so cute!! haha 

Also every once in a while out of the blue he will point at my shoes or shirt or whatever and say oh, thats cute! haha thanks bud :) 

He knows that the remote is how we turn on his cartoons so when he wants to watch he says george?? and then says, wheres the remote?? and then he finds the remotes and hands them to me.  

He is getting good at handing stuff to me.  I can point whatever it is out and sometimes it takes a while, but he can usually find it and bring it to me.  Pretty sweet for a prego mama that hates bending over haha

He LOVES singing toys, but he hates it when I sing! haha! Most of the time when I try and sing to him he says noo nooo!!!!

He has been such a champ with staying home most of the time while I nest like a maniac haha he is pretty good at entertaining himself, but you can tell that sometimes he just gets bored.  So he will come find me and ask for a hug (pick me up) and then he wants us to go to the couch and sit together haha 

It's so nice to have him be able to talk and understand enough to let us know what he wants or needs.  

He is such a smart little guy.  He is a huge puzzle fan right now.  I got him a bunch for Christmas and his favorite is an abc puzzle that is hard! He is so good at it. Oh and the abc song is one of the few songs he will put up with.  He likes it when I sing the abc's and point to them on his puzzle.  But as soon as I get to the "now I know my abc's" part he says noo noooo!! ha 

He loves to count just about everything and he likes to sort out colors.  His counting usually goes 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, and then sometimes he will throw in a three or a 7, 8 haha 

He likes to color, but the crayons we have are the worst. I even have a hard time making them color so that usually doesn't last long. 

Quite often Micah is my little shadow, he follows me so close that I trip over him all the time! sorry bud. 

He still throws everything.  And he has quite the arm too, he can throw things far 

We got a rock n play sleeper for the baby and Micah likes to climb up in it and then he says, thats cute! So now I'm scared that he's gonna try and climb in it with baby :/ Like I said.. I'm super nervous about bringing baby home and the transition to two kids.. I bought Micah a doll cause I feel like he doesn't really even know what a baby is haha It hasn't come yet, but I'm hoping having it around might help him understand a little better when we bring baby home? I dunno.. I figure its worth a shot.

33 weeks prego

So I was gonna write more posts about being pregnant this pregnancy.. but instead this is my 1st and I'm 33 weeks. Haha oh well.

So being pregnant is an adventure for sure.. where do I even start haha I feel like this pregnancy has been SOO much harder then my first. I'm way more uncomfortable and all that, BUT last pregnancy by the time I was this far along I had nothing to do.. I was out of school, we had just moved to a TINY apartment that didn't require much, and most of all i didn't have a toddler demanding all of my time attention and energy haha I remember watching lots of TV and taking super long naps.. so I suppose things would be different this go round if that's all I was doing.. but while this pregnancy is different in that way it's also super similar to Micah's.. I am carrying the exact same way, straight out! My mom and sister were telling men that from behind I don't even look prego.. and then I turn sideways and bam! Huge belly haha

So just for documenting purposes let me go back a little bit.. At my 21 week ultrasound my placenta was too close to my c-section scar. Apparently that can cause big problems so we had to play the waiting game till I was 28 weeks to see if it had moved, and it did!! Such a relief! Thanks to all the fasting and prayers of my family :) 

At the 28 week ultrasound the baby was breech which isn't a big deal that early, but they kept checking at each appointment and he was always breech. Last week I went in because I was sick and they checked again for fun.. Still breech. But also still early. 

But last night this baby was doing some crazy stuff and I swear he was flipping head down.  I had an appointment today and they didn't pull out the little ultrasound so make certain, but the heart beat was in a new spot way lower!! So I think he has turned! 

One less thing to worry about hopefully! haha

I feel like every appointment lately I've had lots of issues and stuff, but this appointment was great, I'm measuring just right, the babies heart beat was just perfect, my blood pressure and all that is great.  It always feels good to go in and hear that everything doing good. 

So now I'm going to do lots of talking about what its like to be 33 weeks prego! haha 

One word seems to sum it up pretty good.. FAT! haha

Not only do I have this huge belly, but everything is getting fatter.. Face, legs, arms, you name it, its growing! 

I feel like I had a lot harder time with the weight gain last pregnancy.  I had always heard you gained around 20-30 pounds, no big deal! So when I FAR exceeded that it was rough on me!  This time I'm not letting it get me down so much.  I mean obviously it would be nice to be one of those girls who gain a couple of pounds and then go back to pre baby weight right away, but I'm just not! Sure I could do better, but I'm trying and thats really all I can muster right about now haha 

I worked out pretty regularly through my second trimester, but it just got harder and harder.. I have been trying to work out still and every time no matter how easy I take a workout it kills me! 

And It's not like a normal kind of soar.. I can handle being soar, this is more like all of my muscles are dying and hurting in a way that is unbearable!! I keep thinking this time it wont hurt me and I try and workout again, and then I die.. It takes muscle rub, heating pads, and pain killer just to try and survive after an attempted workout haha and yet I'll be trying it again most likely.. 

I really don't want to have to start all the way over like I did after last pregnancy, but it's looking like thats probably what will happen.. Oh well I mean I making a human! Inside of me! 

Sacrifices definitely have to be made, might as well have a good attitude about it! 

Anyways! rant over haha 

A few other fun things..

I have to pee SO many times throughout the day and night that it's just crazy. 

Pregnancy makes me a little weird, last night Micah woke me up around 3, the moment I woke up I was hit with a wave of hunger! I tried to ignore it.. I got Micah back to bed then peed obviously and then got to thinking about this baby and just got so excited! haha hard to go back to sleep when your starving AND excited! I tried to continue to ignore the hunger, but as I ignored it, it turned from hunger to nausea ha my body was like you WILL eat at 3 am.

So I did. Pregnancy problems alrighty.

Organizing, stocking up, and cleaning is my life.

Nesting is for real!! I definitely didn't have the nesting urge last time like this time, holy smokes it's intense and I've been nesting since I was like 20 weeks haha

And can I just say, it's so awesome!! I love this new love of cleaning and organizing and I really don't want it to go away! 

I've gained some awesome new habits while being prego that I hope I keep up after I have this baby.  

I have so many things I want to get done before I have this little guy. So I'm trying to knock off something every day and it always makes me so happy when stuff gets done.  

I have been having the worst braxton hicks for a while now. Sometimes its so bad that I can't even stand up.. Super annoying! 

Bending over is the worst these days..

Tying my shoes is so hard.  I make Matt do it whenever possible

Leaving the house with just me and Micah is getting harder and harder.. I have to get both of us dressed, make sure we have water and snacks and a for sure plan on where we are going and what we are doing and if there will be bathrooms near by haha and then in the midst of trying to leave I have to pee like 3 times (and then I'll have to go again as soon as we get where we are going) I get Micahs coat and shoes on and then he usually hangs out by the door for a while as I run around trying to get all the things I'm forgetting haha It takes us so long that by the time we get out it's usually nap time or lunch time and it turns into a fiasco with an angry/tired 2 year old and me who can barely waddle around. 

So we just try and wait for Matt most of the time these days ha

Most of the time I never want to leave my house.. Everything is so much easier here! haha Amazon is my best friend.  Online shopping is a miracle! And I just found out that you can grocery shop online!! And then all you have to do is go to the store and I'm pretty sure they will bring it out to your car for you.. I haven't actually done it, but you can bet I will be taking advantage of that with a newborn! (and possible before that) 

I am SO glad to be in my third trimester during the winter this time. I'm like a living heater even when it's super cold. I was all worried about having a winter coat that would fit over my belly, but turns out I don't need one! a sweater or a jacket and I'm usually good.  I do wish I could go on walks though.. Even though I would probably be fine poor Micah would freeze! And It's usually dark by the time Matt gets home.. Maybe it will get warm enough to brave the cold one of these days.  

I have mentioned how much fun I'm having getting ready for this baby? haha

Micah still has no clue whats going on AND he is the biggest mamas boy!! He really needs to get over that a little.. I'm starting to worry.. Having a baby that takes up a ton of my time and attention is gonna be super rough on him! I try and talk to him about having a brother and all that, but it just goes over his head.. oh boy! 

I feel like I have been pregnant for SOO long! Growing a baby take forever!! And at the same time I can't believe we only have 7 weeks left.. funny how that works 

Sleeping is pretty uncomfortable these days.  I have this huge pregnancy pillow that helps a ton, but my hips always hurt so bad in the morning.  Some nights I come and sleep on the couch for a few hours just to mix things up and give my body a break.  

I feel like this baby moves a lot more then Micah which I LOVE! Sometimes it's a little painful, but it's so nice not to have to worry about him all the time. 

Pregnancy definitely has its ups and downs, but in the end I sure am grateful to be able to be pregnant and that we are both healthy! It's an amazing thing and I sure am getting excited to meet this guy! 

On the farm for Christmas

We got to spend a whole week on the farm for Christmas this year

and it was amazing!! 

We headed out on Sunday with a quick stop on the Salt flats 

Almost every morning all the kids would come to moms house and make a little christmas ornament 

At the beginning of the week it rained a ton!! 

So weird in December.. haha
