The Best Day

Lately our lives have been consumed by house shopping

It's fun and it's exciting, but it can get a little old when its all you do..  Seriously.  We look for houses online, we go out and look at the houses in person, we put in offers, we anxiously wait to hear back.. And then we start the whole process over. 

I'm not gonna lie, it is getting a little stressful.

so on Saturday we decided to take a day off

And boy was it just what we needed!

I have been looking at the mountains everyday from my balcony and wishing I was in them cause the fall colors are so beautiful! 

So we went on a hike. We didn't have a particular destination. 

We were just there to relax and take in all the beauty 

And let me tell you the mountains did not disappoint! 

Micah fell asleep so we laid him down so he could take a little rest haha

After hiking for the morning we went and got some lunch at which which

And we thought our day couldn't get any better..

It was SO good! (probably helped that we were starving)

I got the pumpkin spice milkshake.. oh my goodness.

My life was complete

and so was Micah's 

He was even sweet enough to share it with daddy.

But he cried and cried when we took it away cause it was pretty much gone 

After lunch we went back to the mountains!

We just couldn't get enough

We went on a drive up to somewhere I don't know the name of

And then Micah played with rocks on top of the world

After that we went home and Micah took a huge nap

poor baby was wiped out.

When he woke up we went to the cutest birthday party. 

He tried to help open presents..

But mostly he just played with this balloon haha

I'm so grateful for my little family and days like these that we get to spend together!

It was so great to have some relaxing time together

And now the house search continues!

Just Because

Just Because it's been a while..

Just because when I took Micah to the park today all he wanted to do was crawl or walk along the little cement ledge.. haha whatever floats your boat baby.

Because I'm having a weird day and the thought of taking him up the stairs was just too much. Plus he was happy. So we hung out in the car till he wasn't having it anymore. 

Just because this picture cracks me up.. Car watching at it's finest

Just because I love it when he pushes his face up against the screen. 

And because he thought it was so funny to reach around and grab my hand.

Just because on days when I am bored and not feeling productive I ask Matt to give me a job.. It really works! Something about knowing that its something he wants me to do really gets me going.  I want to be able to say I finished it.  My job yesterday was to not have any laundry in the baskets.. I have this bad habit of throwing everything in the baskets (even clean cloths) then they stay there forever.. So getting this done was pretty good for me!

Just because this baby hates it when daddy goes to work.  Daddy and outside are two of his favorite things.. He just doesn't get why daddy gets to go outside without him.  Poor little guy.

Just because the mountains are so pretty it makes me mad.. obviously this picture doesn't do it justice.  And it seriously does make me a little mad (I'm so weird) mad because I know it won't last and mad because I'm not in the mountains all the time. haha

Because halloween will be interesting this year.  Micah HATES costumes!! I don't know what his deal is, but every time we try to dress him up he cries and cries..

Just because Micah is obsessed with water.. He is looking at a waterfall in this picture..

Just because this guy is my favorite.  He stuck that in his mouth and said, "do I look like a farmer?"

hahaha the little things he does just crack me up

Just because I got my parents all to myself for conference weekend and it was the best ever!! 

Mom helped me can a bunch of pears.. yay!

Just because I'm blessed with the sweetest baby that is so content to drive his trucks while I'm doing housework and what not. 

And because every time it really counts I forget to bring shoes.. poor guy

Because this is the tiniest toilet ever!!

And just because I'm in love with fall colors and I never want it to end.
