My Micah is 1!!!

The Past year has FLOWN by!!
I cannot believe my little boy is a year old!

Micah at one year old:

He is a really good walker now!  He still falls down, but he gets steadier every day.
He wants to walk everywhere now, including while we are outside, in stores, and all around the house.
Its so crazy to have him walking around!
He can also bend over and pick things up and then keep walking and as of yesterday he can stand up in the middle of the room without any help.

He has six teeth.
I'm pretty sure he is working on some more right now

He says mama and dada and mom and dad and all other versions of our names.
He jabbers all the time, but those are the only words he says that sound like actual words.
However he is really good at mimicking us in his cute little way.

He eats all sorts of food, but his favorites are blueberries and potatoes.

He is a super happy boy.  He just loves to play with his toys.
He is good at entertaining himself which is really nice for me.
He plays and plays and then every now and then looks up and smiles and giggles at me and then goes back to whatever he was doing.
Melts my heart.

He loves to play peekaboo
He will hold up just about anything to cover
his eyes until I notice and say where's my Micah?
Then he uncovers his eyes and giggles haha I love it

He loves being outside.  It doesn't really matter what we are doing as long as it is outside.

Sometimes we got sit on the grass, but he always eats it and gags on it haha
We have a playground in our complex and the other day he climbed all the stairs to the very top!

On his birthday we went to the cutest little cupcake shop

It was mostly for me and Matt though because Micah refused to eat any haha

I made him a little baby sized stack of pancakes.  He thought it was pretty cool

I can't really even put into words how much I love this little guy!!
I feel so blessed to be his mom
Every day I spend with him his the best day ever.
He brings so much happiness to Matt and I!
Life is so good

A vacation to the farm

I have been trying to get out to the farm all summer.
Things kept not working out and I never made it
So we were planning on going out there for wyatt's baby blessing and since we were already going we decided to have Matt take a few days off and he got permission to also work remotely one day.
So all in all we got to stay out at the farm for almost a week!
Just what we needed :)

I was so excited for Micah to get to experience the farm now that he is a little older.

We pretty much did it all while we were out there, it was so fun!
We went mountain biking on a trail that Matt made several times..

We had our first family four wheeler ride

Micah had a birthday party

Matt and I got to go on a little date to a place we call Dr Suess rocks

I got to do some jogging on these dirt roads.
I have missed it so much! There's something about jogging
on a long empty dirt road.. So much better then a sidewalk :)

The day after Matt and I went a big group went back to Dr. Suess

Micah could have played in that dirt for the rest of the day

Micah's face kills me in this one haha

One of the days we got a big group together and drove to a mostly abandoned highway and rode our bikes down it.  It was so fun!!

Then we went into town and visited my grandma.
4 generations right here!

My mom got Micah some bears for his birthday.  Turns out Micah LOVES bears!!
Its so cut he held all three of these bears all the way home while he slept.

On Sunday Micah's cousin Wyatt was blessed.

Afterward we had a potluck and Micah was the centerpiece at our table

We also got to go and visit my friend and her new baby, unfortunately I didn't get a picture!
We headed home on Monday.
It was so great to spend some time on the farm!
I love it so much out there :)

The 2nd 1st birthday party

We decided to give Micah 2 birthday parties.
One on the farm, and one here in Utah
Such an awesome baby deserves two parties right?
We thought so.

So here are a few pictures from his second birthday party

Here is the face of pure joy.  He loved the bubbles so much

I managed to get a picture with them both looking! Check out those blue eyes!!

So Matt is determined to have Micah riding a bike as soon as humanly possible.
We bought him a little balance bike, but it is still way to big for him.
So Matt made this little balance bike completely out of wood
It's tiny and so cute!
My husband is so talented!! He always amazes me with the things he makes.

The balloons were pretty much the highlight of the party
(the bubbles were also a hit)

Micah had so much fun.
after everyone left he just played with his new toys like he was in heaven.  He also kept toddling over and giving us hugs and snuggles.  It was like he knew that we had done all this for him and he was just so happy.  It was so cute!!
I love my little boy so much
He has me all tied around his little finger.

The first 1st birthday party

We took a trip out to the farm over Labor day weekend to be there for my nephew's baby blessing.
Since we were there so close to Micah's birthday we figured we would have a birthday party for him out there!

It was a super nice day and we had the party outside
And all the kids were so cute in their little party hats

I just love the loader in the background.

My sister-in-law made Micah's super awesome cake for him to smash!

Micah got to open some presents

It's a good thing he got some helpers, cause biting it just wasn't quite getting it done

Then we gave him his cake

He wasn't quite sure what to think of it, but he knew the cars were super cool

But he wasn't too crazy about the cake.  No matter how much we tried to get him to taste it he would not eat it!! haha Such a funny baby.

After a while of playing in the cake he got really sad.  I don't know why. Teething maybe?
haha it was the last thing I expected.

Water was the only thing that made him happy.

After he played in the water for a while grandpa took him back over to his cake and he played and played.. He still wouldn't eat it, but at least they had fun smashing it

It was a fun party and a super fun vacation on the farm.
I have lots of catching up to do with the blogging.
We had another party for Micah here in Utah with some friends it was way fun and another thing that I'll be blogging about soon :)
