The Loveliest day of love I've ever had
This valentines day was the best of my ENTIRE life! It was so great, which was kind of a surprise because I was not expecting it to be anything special. And here's why.. Matt has been SO busy! Like wake up early, head off to school and work, come home and immediately hit the homework, and do it until its late and he has to go to bed so he can do it the next day. Its been super and crazy and hard on both of us, but he is such a good sport about it.
So here I was thinking he probably not even have time to get me anything let alone have a date.. and I was ok with it because he works so hard and I know how much stress it puts on him to take much time off. And to add to all of this he had a class trip that was planned for Valentines day. He would leave by 8 in the morning and not get back till almost 9 that night. So it was looking like I'd get to spend v-day alone..
But we decided that, that was simply unacceptable so he started trying to find out if I could come with them. It wasn't looking to good, but a day before they left his teacher said there was an empty seat on the bus and so I could come!! I was happy, but also nervous because I haven't been feeling to great lately.. BUT this school trip was a trip to an awesome ghost town and they would be taking pictures ALL DAY! I LOVE photography and so I was really hoping I would feel good enough to walk around all day, and if not I really didn't know if there would be a place for me to sit around. Usually I have to take a nap in the afternoons cause I get SO tired. So I was a little nervous about that..
So Valentines day comes. We get up early (something I have a hard time with these days) and get all ready to go. so far so good. And then the first great thing of the day happens.. Matt has to run up to campus so as I'm eating breakfast he leaves just to come back in a few minutes later with flowers! And Nutella and jiff's new version of nutella and vanilla wafers! How sweet! He had his mom pick them up for me since he couldn't and then hid them at his cousin's who lives next door. That guy is just always full of surprises and I love it! :)
So we head off to the bus. I was a little nervous because it was a 2 hour drive and I usually have to pee more often then that (tmi? haha) But I made it just fine! First success of the day! We made it to the ghost town (with only one really scary part where the bus almost rolled into a ditch.. no big deal) and it was SO awesome! coolest place ever! We took pictures all day to our hearts content and I felt GREAT! (which is a little strange, what a blessing!) It was so fun they had models all dressed up in western cloths and everything. I had a blast!! The weather was supposed to be snowy and cold, but instead it was super nice for the most part. They even provided an awesome meal! So basically instead of being alone on valentines day we got to spend the whole day together! which is always so much fun. We had lots of fun and took lots of cool pictures (matt even won a prize for his pictures!)
So there it is.. the story of my favorite valentines ever. It was SO nice to get a day away from the house and to feel good and spend it with my husband! I couldn't have asked for more :)

Part 2
So here is part two of my catch up post..
This summer we went on lots of trips. It was SO fun! Matt and I just love to travel and see new things and I'm so glad that we got the chance to play last summer, since now we have school and not much time to do anything.
Our first adventure was a belated honeymoon to California!
We went to the beach..
And to Lake Tahoe (Our favorite place)
we saw a light house! (barely.. it was sooooo foggy!)
And we went to the Oakland temple, So beautiful!
One of our very favorite parts of the whole vacation was camping in the redwoods.
it was basically the prettiest place I have EVER been!
We drove along the coast.. It was super foggy so we couldn't see anything and the road was super windy and crazy, it was wild!
And because of the fog this was about all we could see of the Golden gate bridge
We also went to six flags! SO FUN!
The elephants was pretty much my favorite part!
we went up to Rexburg to my graduation.. We took my mom and dad and Luke, Tonya, and Talon and we had lots of fun!
In August we went to my cousin's wedding in St. George and on the way there and the way back we rode mountain bikes in Austin.
Our crazy load of bikes.. We took Josh with us..
Us at the Temple
And The awesome couple!
Later that month we went to my old roommates wedding
And then we went camping. We put a mattress in the back of the truck and then slept in there. It was super fun.
the next day we went to the city of rocks
So, funny story. We took another trip back up to Rexburg to look around for a place to live and what not. We decided that we would camp half way in Twin falls to split the trip up. So we had planned out where we wanted to camp, but by the time we got there it was dark and so it was hard to find it. We went on this long dirt road and then after a while there was a road closed sign. So we found another campground, but the road to it ended up being closed to. I guess there was a big fire going on so all of the campgrounds we were thinking about going to were closed. So we kept on driving down these out of the way roads hoping we would just find someplace where we could set up a tent. At about midnight we finally stumbled into this campground and we were so tired that we didn't care what it was or anything we just wanted a place to sleep! We could tell that it was by water, but that was about it. When we woke up and got out of our tent this is what we saw.. (thats our new awesome tent by the way)
It was SO pretty! It was also really nice and not expensive.. We were glad we found it cause we definitely want to go back! I mean look we even had our own personal dock!
We could hear stuff going on late that night while we were sleeping and we were like, that sounds like a bailer.. sure enough when we woke up there were farms and new bales right on the other side of the water.
On that same trip we went mountain biking up by the Tetons.
And we found this awesome bridge!
so to end our awesome summer we took one last trip to Tahoe.. This time Mom, dad, Luke, Tonya, Logan, and My aunt and Uncle's family all came and it was awesome.
We did a lot of Mountain biking...
And we went kayaking and swimming.
Oh and Talon did awesome at camping!!
Well I think that about sums it up.. We had a great summer, and now I am almost caught up to posting about the present!
